In my mental joseki lexicon, this innocuous move is a mistake that created snowballed into a stupendous furikawuri. After the hane, in the game both players probably produced the optimal sequence for both. Check out the result and some explanations in this video:

Afterwards, the game became very unclear due to a failed attack on my part. Both players then displayed their maturity exchanging blunders, until the game came to a surprising end at the last one.
