At the time I posted this on my failed blog, I was leading a German youth training league. This came up in a review of a game between two of my kids, and I promised to mention it in the book I’m not writing. Here you go:
B suggested to push and cut in order to avoid getting squeezed (not actual game, B simply connected by capturing the k6 stone).
But in fact this allows W an even better squeeze, behold…
B still has to come back at k6. We can say B’s plan of not getting squeezed has failed completely.
